Planetary Gearboxes and Worm Gear Reducers

Compare six series side by side by torque, ratio, precision grade and mounting style to find the exact model for your packaging line drive position. Precision graded to ISO 1328, each unit ships with backlash and noise test records for easy quoting and acceptance.

All torque and ratio figures are output-side values; the input can be fitted with an electric motor or servo shaft.

Compliance and Precision Criteria for EU-Exported Gearboxes

To enter a German packaging machine line, a planetary or worm gear reducer must answer two questions: can it ship with the CE marking of the host machine, and which accuracy standard defines its precision? The factory runs an ISO 9001 quality system, applies ISO 1328 to gear accuracy and EN 1245 to worm gear sets

CE Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
When a reducer ships to the EU as a safety component of a packaging machine, it normally falls under this directive. Applicability and its relation to other directives are confirmed per product and contract; the factory issues an assembly declaration.
ISO 9001 Quality System
Covers gear machining, worm set assembly, final inspection and packing. Lead time and batch traceability follow the system documents; precision and noise records are archived per batch.
ISO 1328 Gear Accuracy Grades
Planetary gearbox gear sets are graded to ISO 1328, commonly grade 6–8. The grade depends on ratio, torque and model, and is quoted model by model.
EN 1245 Worm Gear Reducer Accuracy
Worm gear sets are assessed to EN 1245 for transmission accuracy; single-stage ratio range and tooth contact pattern can be given per model.
Low Backlash Planetary Reducer Assembly and Measured Records
For the low backlash planetary reducer that buyers specify most often: a target backlash is given per model, then measured and recorded on every unit after assembly and supplied with the goods.
Noise Test Records and Delivery Documents
No-load and loaded noise measurements are provided with the shipping documents, together with the packing list and inspection records; test conditions and measurement positions are stated in the record.

Common market-entry requirements; applicability and documentation are subject to the destination country's current regulations and mutual confirmation.
