Planetary Gearboxes and Worm Gear Reducers

Compare six series side by side by torque, ratio, precision grade and mounting style to find the exact model for your packaging line drive position. Precision graded to ISO 1328, each unit ships with backlash and noise test records for easy quoting and acceptance.

All torque and ratio figures are output-side values; the input can be fitted with an electric motor or servo shaft.

Compliance and Precision Criteria for EU-Exported Gearboxes

To enter a German packaging machine line, a planetary or worm gear reducer must answer two questions: can it ship with the CE marking of the host machine, and which accuracy standard defines its precision? The factory runs an ISO 9001 quality system, applies ISO 1328 to gear accuracy and EN 1245 to worm gear sets

CE Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC
When a reducer ships to the EU as a safety component of a packaging machine, it normally falls under this directive. Applicability and its relation to other directives are confirmed per product and contract; the factory issues an assembly declaration.
ISO 9001 Quality System
Covers gear machining, worm set assembly, final inspection and packing. Lead time and batch traceability follow the system documents; precision and noise records are archived per batch.
ISO 1328 Gear Accuracy Grades
Planetary gearbox gear sets are graded to ISO 1328, commonly grade 6–8. The grade depends on ratio, torque and model, and is quoted model by model.
EN 1245 Worm Gear Reducer Accuracy
Worm gear sets are assessed to EN 1245 for transmission accuracy; single-stage ratio range and tooth contact pattern can be given per model.
Low Backlash Planetary Reducer Assembly and Measured Records
For the low backlash planetary reducer that buyers specify most often: a target backlash is given per model, then measured and recorded on every unit after assembly and supplied with the goods.
Noise Test Records and Delivery Documents
No-load and loaded noise measurements are provided with the shipping documents, together with the packing list and inspection records; test conditions and measurement positions are stated in the record.

Common market-entry requirements; applicability and documentation are subject to the destination country's current regulations and mutual confirmation.

From Inquiry to Packing: How We Work With You

  1. STEP 01

    Send RFQ With Selection Data

Send your RFQ with ratio, rated torque, output flange dimensions and duty, plus positioning accuracy and takt requirements for the packaging machine.

  2. STEP 02

    Technical Selection and Quotation

We propose a planetary or worm gear solution with module, tooth count, ISO 1328 accuracy grade, noise limits and lead time.

  3. STEP 03

    Drawing and Inspection Plan Confirmed

We confirm the interface dimensional drawing, assembly and inspection plan, and lock down the test items and acceptance values for backlash and no-load noise.

  4. STEP 04

    Production and Pre-shipment Inspection

Parts are machined and assembled per the confirmed plan, with backlash and noise test records issued; third-party inspection can be arranged if required.

  5. STEP 05

    Packing and Shipping Documents

We deliver the packing list, invoice, certificate of origin, test records and the CE Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC declaration of incorporation.

Six Questions Buyers Ask Before Ordering

What is the MOQ? Can different ratios and torque ratings be mixed in one order?

MOQ is 5 units per model. Different torque ratings within the same ratio can be combined by unit count into one order, with no extra MOQ for mixed configurations.

What is the lead time for standard models? Can you schedule around our line start-up date?

Standard models ship in 25–35 days; custom ratios or high-torque ratings are quoted case by case. Send us your line milestones and we will build a weekly production plan with the shipping date backed up from it.

Can we receive samples first to verify accuracy and noise?

Yes. We can send 1–2 samples, credited against the bulk order. Each sample ships with backlash and noise test records so you can benchmark it against your packaging line drive.

Which inspection and shipping documents come with the goods?

Each batch includes the packing list, gear accuracy inspection records and noise test records. Material certificates and third-party inspection can be arranged on request.

What are the payment terms?

Standard terms are 30% deposit and 70% against a copy of the bill of lading. Credit terms can be arranged for large or long-term orders, subject to contract.

What is the warranty period, and how are gear accuracy or excess noise handled?

Warranty is 12 months, covering tooth surface pitting, abnormal wear and noise above spec. Repairs or replacement are free, with freight on our account.
